NSW: Call centre workers suffer for penny-pinching pee breaks
Call centre workers have dumped on their employer for forcing them to time toilet breaksand make up lost minutes at the end of the day.
The Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Union says around 60 workers at the RSLCOM Mobile call centre were told to use so-called personal time to go to the toilet.
One call centre employee describes the experience as humiliating and degrading.
RSL COM managing director KEIR PREEDY says employees are always treated with respect, and the company's break policy has been misinterpreted.
He says management intends to clarify the policy with all call centre workers.
Union organiser ALICE SALOMON has threatened an industrial campaign if there's no changein the situation.
