NSW: $1 million to help break cycle of homelessness
SYDNEY, Jan 12 AAP - A major charity organisation today received a $1 million cashinjection to help Sydney's homeless break the cycle that keeps them on city streets.
NSW Minister for Community Services Carmel Tebbutt announced $960,000 funding overtwo years would be provided to St Vincent de Paul under the supported accommodation assistanceprogram (SAAP).
The money, a joint donation from the Federal and NSW governments, would go to helppeople break the cycle of homelessness before it became an entrenched way of life, MsTebbutt said.
