NSW: Ultra-light helicopter crashes, pilot seriously injured

SYDNEY, Aug 15 AAP - A pilot has been seriously injured in an ultra-light helicopter
crash on a property in northwest Sydney.

Emergency services say the crash happened in Sanctuary Drive, Windsor Downs, just after
1.30pm (AEST) on Saturday.

The crash site is on the edge of Windsor Downs nature reserve and around four kilometres
from Richmond RAAF Aerodrome.

It is not clear if the helicopter came from the airfield.

Paramedics and police were at the scene along with an ambulance helicopter.

"The aircraft was single-seat and the pilot has suffered serious injuries," a police
spokeswoman said.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.
